Barring something like a daring New Year’s Eve jailbreak by Josh Duggar, I believe I have written my last news story of 2022. And this right here should be my last Substack post!
First, I want to offer my sincerest thanks again to all of you that have found me here. I have picked up a few new followers recently, so…welcome! As you’ll see, on here I write about things I cover at work as well as completely different topics. But it means the world to me when people make the effort to subscribe to read my writing here. And you paid subscribers *absolutely* make a difference. I cannot stress that enough. Times are tight, and the little bit of extra income generated from you generous folks really helps me out. So thank you.
I’m off work today, so I wrote a story in advance about some of the biggest 2022 headlines in our neck of the woods in Arkansas. That’s here if you want to check it out:
2022: A look back at some of Northwest Arkansas and the River Valley’s biggest news stories
Interestingly enough, if I went by sheer clicks and engagement, there would be even more Duggar stories in that wrap-up. It’s kind of hard to believe that he was convicted over a year ago now but his case is still making headlines. I assume that the federal appeals court will set a date for oral arguments fairly soon in the new year.
I hope that everybody has a great conclusion to the year, whether that is by celebrating, quietly reflecting, or sitting on your couch and doing absolutely nothing. Those all sound like perfectly valid options to me. I’ll be back with a new post soon about some TV shows, movies, specials, and other stuff that I have consumed lately. There’s some really great content out there at the moment.
Happy New Year!
