Reflections on some advice

I know that whoever wrote this meant well, but...

…some of this shit is insane.

I don’t even remember where I came across this, but I found a bullet-point article titled 103 Bits of Advice I Wish I Had Known. Known when is not specified. But I had…I don’t want to call it “enjoyable,” so let’s say an “interesting” time going through this list, because I found some of these offerings to be completely insane, batshit crazy, entirely wrong, or all of the above. Here are some of the worst offenders:

“Don’t ever work for someone you don’t want to become.” This makes no sense. There are plenty of jobs that are rewarding, fulfilling, and important in which the person in that role would have absolutely no desire to become the person above them.
