Earlier today, I said in a post here that I hoped that the Mar-a-Lago probable cause statement that had to be submitted before the FBI was granted a search warrant would be released to the public. Today we found out that it’s going to happen—in about a week, after the DOJ and FBI have time to redact some documents.

I have seen plenty of redacted court documents at work. The ones that I come across almost always involve removing the names of minors to protect their identities (and no, not only in that one notable case that I cover). It’s absolutely standard procedure to come across redacted court documents sometimes.
