Long time, no post. My sincerest apologies, dear readers, but life has been beating me down. The last few weeks have been kind of a blur—a combination of work, health, and life circumstances all deciding to pummel me simultaneously. I apologize for my absence here but I just haven’t had it in me. I might write about some of those things in the future, but…today is not the day for that.
I’m okay. And I recently earned a much-needed small victory, which I will tell you about now.
As I described here previously, my departure from Northwest Arkansas to Las Vegas was a bit of a whirlwind. I was shoring up details until literally my final days in Fayetteville. I was working at KNWA on a Friday and hit the FOX5 Las Vegas payroll the following Monday. And moving was…a process.
In February, I informed my landlord that I would be moving out before the end of my lease, which ran through May. I explained that I wouldn’t have a specific date in hand until later, and I informed him as soon as I knew what it was. I also hired professional cleaners to tidy the place up after I left, leaving the keys with them to leave behind for the owner when they finished.
