The golden age of watching stuff on our screens at home continues with an abundance of viewing options. I have checked out a few shows recently, some that are new, others that are just new to me, and I have enjoyed a variety of stuff. Let’s take a look at what I’m digging.
POKER FACE – Peacock, 10 episodes, all available now
I was curious about this one from the start, due to creator Rian Johnson and the simple premise: a woman who can always tell when people are lying. I heard it referred to multiple times as a throwback to 1970s-era detective shows like Columbo, with a “case of the week” feel. I don’t want to say that Natasha Lyonne in the lead role made me hesitant to check it out, but I just wasn’t sure how much I would like a show built around her.
