I’m a big fan of “that guy” actors. You know the ones. The supporting players that you often don’t even know by name because they never get top billing in a movie or a show. But you’re thrilled when you see them show up, often unexpectedly, because they are about to make whatever you’re watching better. I have a true fondness for actors and actresses like that. The rare ones sometimes graduate from “that guy” status to become a more well-known supporting actor, and I always feel good for them when they do. I should write a post about this in the future.
I have realized that there are also going to be “that guy” types that show up in my profession. They could be anchors or reporters that I see again in the future, or the types of people in some of the stories I cover—criminals, lawyers, and politicians, for instance.
Which brings me to today’s topic. I still follow the news coming out of my old neck of the woods in Arkansas when I can. So when I read this recent article, I was pleased to have one of those “oh, look who it is!” moments right at the heart of the story.
If you followed Josh Duggar’s trial closely, you’ll catch it almost immediately…
