This has happened twice now, which makes it significant enough for me to write about it here. I’m talking about the infuriating occurrence of app-based payment methods suddenly “not working.”
#1. I have a Starbucks card saved in my Apple wallet on my phone. I don’t go there much anymore because I cannot justify the expense. It’s mind-boggling what they get away with charging. I do have that feeling at a lot of places now, so it’s certainly not just them.
Anyway…
I actually had two separate Starbucks cards saved. I have no idea why. This was not by design. But one of them has a balance remaining on it, so a few weeks ago I drove through and grabbed a coffee and a breakfast sandwich on the way to work. I have used these virtual cards in the past with zero issues…until today.
