I’m in the middle of working on a post about a few TV shows, and I’ll wrap that one up soon, but I had to jump in with a quick update on work because of something that happened tonight.
I’ve been working a noon-9 PM shift, and that has been going really well. Tonight at about 8, one of our anchor/reporters called out to me from across the newsroom, telling me that she was going to send me something. I have worked with her long enough to know that this will be something substantial. She’s not yelling my name and then sending me a video of a dog eating a burrito. Not that I’d be opposed to that.
“If you could take a look at this, pick out some nuggets for the reporters and producers, and write something up, that would be great,” she said. No problem. That’s often exactly what I do.
Cut to: me looking at the attachment to her email, and seeing that it is a 456-page ethics complaint against the Governor of Nevada.
