Hey there. I hope everyone wrapped up their weeks in spectacular fashion and is enjoying the start of the weekend. It was a trying week for me on a couple of levels. There are no typical weeks at my job, because the number and type of stories both vary wildly from one week to the next. I do get a lot of articles up. Sometimes it’s even considered “too much,” because everyone involved would prefer that I was spending more time on bigger stories, including me. But sometimes things just don’t break that way, so I fill my time with little articles that merit some attention, however small they may be. Anyway, I thought it might be of interest to take a look at one week’s worth of stories, since most readers here generally know me from one particular ongoing story.
On Monday, I worked what we call the “nightside” shift, which is from 1:30-10:30 PM. Our weekend web writer was out of town on vacation, and this required some minor shuffling to cover things. I ended up working nightside this past Monday and the Tuesday before that, which was not a big deal. It’s definitely a different vibe at night, and there is usually much less actual writing done, unless I’m working on a future piece. But as a change of pace, I don’t hate it.
I’m not going to link to all of these, but if any stories are of interest, you can find them, along with everything else I’ve written at KNWA, here: https://www.nwahomepage.com/author/c-c-mccandless/
